Your Role:

• Oversees clinical nursing education within the Clinical Division, including planning, development, organization, implementation, and direction of nursing practice (e.g., communications, program management, research, professional development, and team relations).
• Keeps current on nursing trends and best practices for clinical integration to improve patient outcomes.
• Establishes and initiates nursing practice improvement plans.
• Conducts educational needs assessments.
• Displays an understanding of diversity.
• Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
• Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
• Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

• RN [Registered Nurse]/Director Nursing Practice (job code (JC): 035001)

Supervises:

• RN/Clinical Education Coord (JC: 036903)
• RN/Improvement Advisor (JC: 035503)

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing

Preferred Education:

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in nursing

Required Experience:

• Six (6) years of relevant clinical educator experience.
  • Note: Human Resources (HR) may accept up to two (2) years relevant graduate-level nursing education on a 1-year:1-year basis in lieu of required experience

Preferred Experience:

• Experience developing, teaching, and coordinating educational programs for adult learners.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as an RN in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].
