HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Location: Tallahassee, FL 

 

As an experienced PR/ Communcations Strategist, you will play a pivotal role by supporting our Heart and Vascular Service Line, Women & Children's Service Line, and Population Health initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to drive integrated marketing efforts across multiple channels. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and communications strategies that enhance brand visibility, engage with key stakeholders, and improve patient and community outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Service Line Marketing: Develop and execute targeted marketing strategies for our Heart and Vascular, Women & Children's, and Population Health service lines, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and service line objectives.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to maximize positive press coverage. Draft press releases, media advisories, and other media materials.
  • Community Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for community engagement efforts. Build partnerships with local organizations and influencers to strengthen the hospital’s presence and reputation within the community.
  • Colleague & Physician Relations: Partner with internal stakeholders to foster a positive internal communications environment and build strong relationships with physicians and medical staff.
  • Event Planning & Management: Plan and execute special events, including community outreach events, health fairs, and service line-specific activities that promote the hospital's services and build relationships with patients and the community.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistent messaging and visual identity across all marketing platforms. Support the development of publications, advertisements, and promotional materials that align with the hospital's brand.
  • Digital Marketing: Work collaboratively on digital marketing efforts including social media, email marketing, web landing pages and online advertising. Monitor digital campaigns and analytics to measure success and drive improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, or a related field.

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years of directly-related professional experience.

 

Preferred Experience

  • Five (5) years directly-related professional experience.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Experienced professional.  Flexible.  Creative.  Highly-organized.
