Your Role:

• The Director of Nursing (DON) assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services in the facility.
• In collaboration with facility Administrator and Medical Director, the DON must ensure the highest level of nursing practice across the facility.
• The collaboration of services is paramount.
• The DON must possess and demonstrate a high degree of leadership, knowledge of healthcare systems, and exceptional communication skills.
• A superior understanding of regulatory requirements, patient care models, administrative functions and patient advocacy skills is important to the overall needs for this position.

Required Education:

• Bachelors of Science of Nursing

Preferred Education:

• Masters Degree

Required Experience:

• Five (5) years of job-related experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (FS), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure]
