HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

 

The Return Repair Technician is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to user departments and vendors. He/she ensures accurate processing of equipment returns related to crediting, replacement and/or repairs. He/she is responsible for the efficient handling of equipment rentals. He/she maintains the necessary data records associated with the above responsibilities. He/she also provides support and feedback to the Directors in keeping with the mission and values of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.

  • Maintains appropriate records on each return or repair that is processed through the Lawson Procurement System.
  • Provides timely information to the Director, Contracting & Purchasing about needed changes to the Database for rental beds (for example, product re-order numbers, conversion factors or UOM changes).
  • Records and submits productivity and quality measurement data when requested by the Director, Contracting & Purchasing
  • Maintains confidentiality and preserves the dignity of customers and colleagues.
  • Respects the rights and property of others.
  • Deals honestly and factually with others.
  • Challenges unethical behavior.
  • Shows common courtesy and respect in all situations.
  • Processes returns for credits, replacements, or repairs. 
  • Follows written procedures for processing returns in the Lawson Procurement System.
  • Advises buyers of restocking fees and obtains appropriate approvals where necessary.
  • Expedites overnight shipments for loaner equipment related to equipment sent out for repairs.
  • Searches for and suggests ways to work more efficiently and effectively while meeting customer/colleague expectations.
  • Uses only the resources needed and completes assignments in the most cost effective manner.
  • Organizes work activities to use time productively.
  • Actively tries to identify, fulfill, and exceed customer expectations.
    • Consistently puts customers first.
  • Looks for input from customers/colleagues and suggests ways to improve services.
  • Responds promptly to requests or opportunities to assist customer
  • Documents the rental of specialty beds in the Lawson Procurement System.
  • Works with the AP clerks to correctly resolve invoice matching problems in order to facilitate timely and correct payment of invoices.
  • Charges the patients for the rental of Specialty Beds in the TMH patient charging system.
  • Completes own work as quickly and efficiently as possible and readily looks to help others.
  • Plans work and coordinates with others to achieve common goals and objectives.
  • Is easily approachable by others and responds pleasantly (verbally and nonverbally).
  • Takes responsibility/ownership for own actions.
  • Establishes good business relationships with all vendors by always dealing with them fairly, respectfully and evenhandedly.
  • Establishes good business relationships with customers, including clinicians, administrators and co-workers.
  • Acts as a good-will ambassador for the Materials Management Department and Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

High school diploma (or equivalent)

 

Required Experience:

 

Hospital supply or materials management experience is preferred, but not required.
