Supervises daily shift-to-shift operation of direct patient care activities within the department, including (but not limited to) staff scheduling, staff assignments, and all other staff responsibilities for the shift. Responsible for staff evaluations. Spends fifty percent (50%) of time in direct patient care. Serves as second neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), if needed. Provides on call staffing for departmental needs.

Supervises:
Respiratory Therapist RRT (JC: 043402), Respiratory Critical Care RRT (JC: 440302), and Respiratory Ped/Neo Critical Cr (JC: 440502)
Required Education:
Associate degree in respiratory care
Required Experience:
Two (2) years of RRT experience (or related managerial experience), including experience with neonatal, pediatric, and adult patient populations.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Registered Respiratory Therapist with the State of Florida Department of Health and the National Board of Respiratory Care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
