HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for planning, scheduling and participating in feasibility studies, systems software and hardware analysis and the configuration of new and revised computing environments including integration with networks and servers. Work includes requirements gathering, development and implementation of systems procedures, as built documents, control programs and security schemes. Work of this position involves assisting in the gathering of specifications and criteria for the acquisition of technology equipment and related software packages and for assisting in the technical evaluation of vendors' products. Work further involves the review and analysis of computer systems software packages available on the market, recommendations regarding configurations and installation of new or upgraded products and the software's impact on existing production systems, standards and operating procedures. Works with QA Manger and team to develop QA and testing scripts for product implementation.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related IT discipline required. Preferred: Advanced Degree in a related discipline

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum: Three years of IT experience to include systems programming, product selection, implementation and/or system administration.
  • Preferred: Five Years of systems programming/development.
  • Behavioral Criteria: Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Windows, Word-Processing, Spreadsheet and Office Automation software products. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: VMware and other platforms; Networking, TCP/IP communications, and network physical connections desirable; Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Novell, DNS, and NTP. Good interpersonal communications and ability to work independently is critical. Ability to utilize project management techniques in the development and implementation of complex computer system projects. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and outside agencies as necessitated by the work. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbal and written.
