Responsibilities

Your Role:

  • Under the direction of the Chief Therapist/Rad Oncology simulate and deliver daily radiation treatments to oncology patients as directed by the Radiation Oncologist; act as liaison between patients and their families and the Radiation Oncologist when adverse reactions or disease progression occurs


Reports:

  • Chief Therapist/Rad Oncology

 

Supervises:

  • Student Radiographers

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology approved program in radiation therapy.

 

Required Experience:

  • None

 

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • State of Florida Department of Health certification as a Radiation Therapy Technologist. Must possess and maintain active certification as a Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
