Your Role:
Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, performs a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system. Responsible for maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data utilizing the computer system, filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, delivering supplies to patient care areas, and managing pharmacy automation. * Direct Supervision. A pharmacist gives specific instructions on all assignments. A pharmacist reviews the technician’s work for completeness and accuracy, or the technician performs tasks with inherent checks built into the nature of the work.
