Your Role:
Under the direct supervision* of the Director/Pharmacy, Asst Dir Pharmacy Operations, or Manager Inpatient Pharmacy Ops, oversees, supervises, leads, develops, and evaluates inpatient pharmacy technicians (i.e., Pharmacy Technician I/Non-Cert, Pharmacy Technician II/Cert, Pharmacy Technician III/Cert, and/or Pharmacy Technician IV/Cert) responsible for performing a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system.
Supervises pharmacy operations; assists subordinate technicians.
Develops and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs); ensures compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
Conducts regular quality control checks and audits.
Implements and maintains customer service and patient experience standards.
Participates in educational programs (as needed or requested).
Holds self and others accountable for standards adherence.
Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.
* Direct Supervision. A pharmacist gives specific instructions on all assignments. A pharmacist reviews the technician’s work for completeness and accuracy, or the technician performs tasks with inherent checks built into the nature of the work.

Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., certificate of high school equivalency).
Successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program.
Required Experience:
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician).
