Entry-level training job. Trains to clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize reusable Operating Room (O.R.) medical devices. Incumbent will be reclassified to Sterile Processing Tech II (JC: 071905) when fully trained and minimum qualifications for that job are met.

Required Education:
High school diploma (or equivalent).
Required Experience: None
Required Certification/License/Registry:
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) credential from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution, Inc. (CBSPD) or the Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) credential from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) within eighteen (18) months post-hire.
