Job Summary:

Fills both oversight and technical functions under the Asst Director/Lab Services’ supervision. Oversees laboratory personnel, aiding the Asst Director/Lab Services with colleague management, communication, supplies acquisition, quality monitoring, and regulatory compliance. May act as the Asst Director/Lab Services in his/her absence.

Asst Director/Lab Services (JC: 023401)

Supervises:

Medical Lab Technologist 

Required Education:

Associate degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of job-related experience

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license. Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license with microbiology, serology, hematology, and clinical chemistry specialties.
• Behavioral Criteria: PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS. Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
