HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced medical physicist to join our growing radiation oncology team at the comprehensive cancer center located in Tallahassee, Florida.

  • This full-time position is for a progressive, hands-on physicist with clinical experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment where collaboration and support between colleagues is encouraged.
  • The clinical medical physicist is expected to actively participate in all aspects of radiotherapy, quality assurance, and implementation of new equipment and techniques.
  • The candidate will be joining 3 radiation oncologists, 2.5 FTE physicists, 4.5 FTE dosimetrists, currently treating an average of 80 patients per day.
  • Our treatment services include IGRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT, and HDR/LDR brachytherapy utilizing Varian accelerators (one Novalis Tx, two Clinac iX), a GammaMedplus HDR afterloader, and a GE Discovery RT CT simulator.
  • Our EMR and planning software consists of Aria, Eclipse (v16/15.6), iPlan and Velocity, and we have a host of Sun Nuclear QA equipment.
  • The center is in the process of replacing the current linacs with the latest technology available from Varian.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

  • Required Education:

    • Must have completed an approved master’s level training program in Medical Physics as approved by the American Association of Medical Physicists.

     

    Required Experiences:

    • Two (2) years of directly related experience.

     

    Required Certification/License/Registry:

    • Must possess and maintain current State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation-Therapeutic Radiological Physicist certificate.
