HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

In collaboration with TMH leaders, the HR/Senior Colleague Relations Specialist:

  • Supports the Exec Dir/HR Services in a highly diverse range of issues (e.g., organizational development and improvement initiatives, workforce training and development, comprehensive human resources policies and programs promotion, business-related initiatives, and special projects).
  • Counsels, advises, and trains managers and staff members on Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, Inc. (TMH) policies and procedures compliance.
  • Conducts Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR) investigations and reporting.
  • Processes Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.
  • Processes grievances.
  • Administers unemployment compensation.
  • Manages efforts to enhance TMH staff members’ work environment and morale.
  • Assists with colleague engagement activities.
  • Mentors colleagues within the department.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Three (3) years of relevant colleague relations work experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of relevant colleague relations work experience.
  • Practical human resources experience with emphasis on employee relations, FMLA, and ADA policies.Practical project or change management experience.
  • Experience creating, designing, and delivering employee or manager training.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) credential from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
  • General understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • General understanding of HR management principles and practices.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with management officials, staff members, and regulatory agencies' representatives.
  • Ability to draft, administer, and interpret TMH policies, procedures, and operations
