Job Summary:

Ensure safety of colleagues, patients and visitors by patrolling and surveying all areas of the hospital and responding to emergencies quickly and appropriately

Reports:

• Chief Security Officer, Supervisor/Security, Director of Public Safety and Emergency Management (JC:080101)

Supervises:

• None

Required Education:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or Equivalent; Preferred: Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field.

Required Experience:

• Minimum: One (1) year of job-related experience. Preferred: Three (3) years of experience in Law Enforcement, Corrections, Private Security or Military type of Law Enforcement.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current Florida CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a passenger endorsement is required within three (3) months of employment. Incumbent operates a TMH vehicle and requires a valid state driver license.
• Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience.
• Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.
• Will have received no more than two (2) minor violations in the past three (3) years and zero (0) major violations in the past five (5) years.
