HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

ProxsysRx is currently recruiting to fill the unique position of Rx Care Advocate for Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. The Rx Care Advocate is responsible for the presentation and coordination of the bedside discharge medication delivery program (DRxD) to all eligible hospital patients. The Rx Care Advocate works collaboratively with the nursing and pharmacy staff to facilitate the process. This opportunity is perfect for a Pharmacy Technician looking to broaden their career, or for someone looking to gain a unique experience in the Health Care Industry. 

 

Job Summary:

  • Presents and coordinates bedside discharge medication delivery (DRxD) program for assigned units, services, and patients. 
  • Presents DRxD program to all eligible patients in assigned units or services prior to discharge date. 
  • Pre-signs eligible patients to program by presenting service prior to discharge date.
  • Delivers prescriptions to patients’ bedside.
  • Follow DRxD scripting for presenting program.  
  • For patients accepting DRxD program, ensure patient enrollment, bedside delivery of medication and successful completion of program requirements at discharge.
  • Completes daily DRxD program processes thoroughly and timely. 
  • Maintains process for tracking patient status and follow-up.
  • Enrolls patient using mobile app or paper enrollment forms.
  • Delivers prescriptions to patient, verifies identity, completes checkout scripting and completes discharge process, securing patient signatures.
  • Transmits information to pharmacy.
  • Performs other duties. 
  • Works under minimal supervision.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent)

Required Experience:

  • No previous experience required

 

Preferred Experience: 

  • One (1) year of customer service experience.
  • Computer skills (i.e.,working knowledge and experience with pharmacy software, Microsoft Word, and the internet). 
  • Language ability (i.e.,able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; able to speak effectively to customers or other members of the organization). 
  • Mathematical ability (i.e.,able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).
  • Reasoning ability (i.e.,able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations).

  • Comfortable in a hospital room setting
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • High energy and team-oriented.
  • Must be able to walk/stand 8 hours per day.

Preferred License:

  • Florida Pharmacy Technician License
